AM15 BUFFER ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

*CAUTION: Prior to assembling, first ensure that your M16 is not loaded.

*CAUTION: If you are unfamiliar with the function and safe handling of an open bolt firearm, you should seek competent assistance, training and guidance before attempting to fire your AM15 Upper Receiver Conversion Kit.

* Carefully remove all parts from the shipping box. Do not remove them from the plastic packaging until ready to install each part.

BUFFER ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION:

1. Remove .223 upper receiver from M16 lower receiver. Put .223 upper receiver away.

2. Remove .223 buffer and spring from the stock tube. NO parts from the .223 stock or buffer or springs are used with the AM15 Upper Receiver Kit.

3. A CAR stock ADJUSTABLE LENGTH BUFFER (#9) as well as an A2 STOCK SPACER (#11) are included in your AM15 Upper Receiver Conversion Kit. When using your AM15 kit on an M16 with a collapsible CAR stock, only the CAR ADJUSTABLE LENGTH BUFFER is required. If you are going to use your AM15 on a full length A2 style stock, the A2 STOCK SPACER is also required.

For a CAR length stock, install only the CAR ADJUSTABLE LENGTH BUFFER (#9) into your stock with the adjustment bolt in the rear of the stock (ie the adjustment bolt would go into the stock tube first).

For an A2 full length stock, first insert the STOCK SPACER (#11) and then ALSO insert the CAR ADJUSTABLE LENGTH BUFFER (#9) into your stock with the adjustment bolt in the rear of the stock (ie the adjustment bolt would go into the stock tube first). When installed correctly, the adjustment bolt would directly in contact with the STOCK SPACER (#11)

Your AM15 buffer parts are now installed and you can proceed with the installation of the open bolt fire control parts.

STEP THREE provides instructions for the installation of the fire control parts.
