The TAC63 suppressor was the next evolution past the Model 62 suppressor. It still had traditional M style baffles with spacers and had knurled endcaps for disassembly. The endcaps were very difficult to remove once the can had been shot for awhile since there was no provision for a disassembly driving tool which is now standard on our current production TAC65 suppressors. The TAC63 also had an OD dimension that was just enough to block the sights on the then newly released Walther P22. The suppressor was only offered in gloss anodized black.
The TAC63 shown in the picture is a retrofitted model with updated baffles and endcaps. You can easily tell the difference between the two by the presence of knurling on the end caps. If they are knurled, they are the original older model. If they are smooth with a blended radius, they are the newest retrofitted version.
Customers that currently own a TAC63 can now have it retrofitted with current TAC65 style 2 stage K baffles as well as endcaps that are identical to the current production TAC65 endcaps that allow you to disassemble it with our 6 point driver tool. The cost for the retrofit rebuild is $110 plus return shipping of $10.
The TAC63 continues to be used today with high levels of satisfaction. With the current retrofit rebuild option that is now available, other then the minimally larger OD of the suppressor, its identical to our current production TAC65 suppressor.
