The TAC15 billet machined lower receivers have been discontinued due to machine time and manufacturing costs and are no longer available or in stock.  We list them here for customers that may have the opportunity to purchase one from a third party and require a comparison to current model production receivers.

No additional production of the TAC15 Receiver is scheduled.
 
Features and Comparison to Current Models:

1. The TAC15 receivers maintained the appearance of a traditional forged receiver (like our current T15 Receiver) but is 100% machined from billet bar aluminum stock.   They have often been referred to as a billet machined "forged" receiver.

2.  They were manufactured in 3 color configurations:
      - black with black markings
      - black with white markings
      - blue with white markings

3.  They were manufactured from both 7075 aluminum bar as well as 6061 aluminum bar.  The second character of the serial number will designate the alloy, such as 56171001 would indicate a receiver manufactured from 6061 whereas 57171001 would indicate a receiver made from 7075 bar stock.

4.  The receivers maintain the original features of a traditional forged receiver so that they will qualify as a "stock" receiver for competition rifle events.  Specifically, they do not have the upper receiver nylon tensioning screw nor the rear detent capture screw found on our current production receivers.

5.  The TAC15 receivers do have the following features identical to our current production receivers:
     - wire EDM cut mag wells
     - hand debur and hand finish

6.  The TAC15 receivers are rotary engraved.

7.  All TAC15 receivers were manufactured absent any federal ban or similar assault weapons restrictions.

The TAC15 receivers are a step above a traditional forged receiver and would make a nice addition to any collection if you're fortunate enough to be able to locate one.
