|
Individual suppressor specifications are available on their respective pages. Please email or call if you have additonal questions, we're glad to help. As always, we appreciate your interest and your business.
- What is the main difference between the three .22LR suppressors?
The TAC52 and TAC65 are designed for semiauto fire on handguns and rifles. The TAC67 is a stainless steel construction suppressor that is designed for HARD fullauto fire on firearms such as American 180s and Norrell Fullauto .22's.
- Why would someone buy a TAC65 compared to a TAC52?
The TAC52 and TAC65 are similar in that they are the same OD size and use the same endcaps for user disassembly. The TAC65 is a nominal 6" long suppressor that uses 2 stage "K" baffles that do not lock together. The user can orient them in any degrees of rotation upon assembly. The TAC52 is shorter at 5.2" and has the same baffle stack except that they are milled to lock together in an exact orientation to each other, thus virtually the same suppression can be achieved out of a shorter suppressor. The obvious question is why wouldn't everyone get the TAC52? One word... Cleaning. The TAC65, since the baffles don't lock together, are easy to clean. The TAC65 has to have all of the locking pieces and locking ports cleaned to reassemble it, which usually means a dental pick. For the shooter that wants to shoot often and a lot, clean it, get it back together and move on to something else, the TAC65 is the right pick. For the shooter that might not shoot too often or that doesn't mind spending more time on cleaning the baffle stack and wants a shorter package, the TAC52 would be the choice.
- Does Tactical Innovations offer suppressors in any other calibers? 9mm? .45?
We specialize in .22 suppressors and also offer our very successful TAC16 .223 suppressor. At present we have no plans to offer suppressors in additional calibers.
