Rather than invest the time and expense to get your STAINLESS STEEL factory Ruger 10/22 heavy barrel threaded, and hope it gets done right, we have drop in replacement heavy barrels (.920) that are already professionally CNC threaded 1/2x28 TPI (.400 length of thread) and come WITH the thread protector, at a price that's just about what a one off threading job would cost you. The barrels are perfect for any 1/2x28 threaded suppressor or accessory.
The barrels are US Certified STAINLESS STEEL and are polished stainless finish. The barrels are 1:16" twist, which is perfect for standard or high velocity ammo. The barrels do not have any iron sights installed and are designed to be used with a receiver mounted scope or similar optics. Installation is fast and easy with no modifications to your rifle. Simply remove the stock, unscrew the 2 cap screws that hold the barrel in, remove your factory barrel and install this new one.
Note that the Aguila HEAVY 60 grain bullet will most likely not stabilize well in this barrel any more than it would in a factory 1:16" twist Ruger 10/22 barrel. For specifically shooting 60 grain Agila bullets, use our 1:9 twist barrels, available in either stainless or blue in heavy barrel or taper barrel configurations.

Just installed this barrel would have given it 5 stars but there were some tool marks on the fluting other than that looks, fits, and shoots great and can't be the price was very happy and will purchase another from TI if I need to.

BARREL TO RECEIVER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The barrel to receiver fit is critical for the assembly process. If
the barrel is loose in the receiver, when you tighten the V-block screws
it will cause the barrel to droop so that you will never be able to get
the scope dialed in. We hold our barrel shanks toward the larger end
of the tolerance scale to ensure that its not going to be loose in any
receiver that you put it in.
Many aftermarket receivers, as
well as Ruger factory receivers, often have larger diameter barrel
holes, and the larger tolerance barrel shank on the aftermarket barrel
will compensate for that amount. However, when you have a precision
receiver that is holding the hole tolerance and a barrel that is also
trying to compensate and be capable of being used in any receiver with
varying hole diameters, then the barrel can sometimes be too tight for
the receiver hole. The logic is that its far better for it to be a
little too tight so it can be fitted to the receiver rather than be too
You should NOT pound the barrel into the receiver with a
mallet. The barrel should be fitted to the receiver so that it goes in
with a LIGHT press fit and you are capable of removing the barrel
without damage to the barrel or receiver if necessary.
