ELITE22™ BILLET PRECISION MACHINED REPLACEMENT 10/22® RECEIVER

In response to customer demand for a high quality target grade precision machined replacement receiver for building a custom 10/22 rifle at an affordable price, serious target shooters, varmint shooters, as well as plinkers can enjoy the advantages of a machined receiver with a solid Picatinny mount that can be built into whatever level of precision is required. Our ELITE22 replacement receiver is loaded with the features that easily separate it from a factory receiver while still being able to use factory parts to complete it.

Ruger & 10/22 Are Registered Trademarks of Sturm Ruger
  1. RECEIVER PRECISION MACHINED FROM AIRCRAFT GRADE BILLET ALUMINUM

The ELITE22 Replacement 10/22 Receiver starts as a 1 1/2 pound solid billet of 6061 T6 aircraft aluminum. Extensive CNC machining converts the solid block into an 8.3 ounces  precision receiver that does not have the rougher surface finish and casting imperfections that a cast receiver would frequently include. All dimensions of the receiver are held to close tolerances for reliable consistency.

We offer a variety of Ruger 10/22 Accessories to compliment your custom built rifle, such as Replacement Barrels, TI25 Machined Aluminum Mags, TI25 Advanced Composite Mags as well as Stocks and Flash Hiders.

  2. CLEAN FROM THE CHAMBER TO THE MUZZLE

Target shooters have always known that the correct way to clean a rifle is from the chamber and out the muzzle rather than pushing all the dirt from the barrel into the receiver and potentially damaging the barrel crown with the cleaning rod. Our receivers have a 1/4" hole in the rear of the receiver that allows you to put a cleaning rod in the rear of the receiver, then attach the brush and swab the barrel from the chamber to the muzzle without having to remove the barrel (and loose your zero each time). The cleaning access hole is cosmetically covered with a snap in and out plug that blends with the rear of the receiver when installed and that is completely hidden when the receiver is in the stock.
  3. PICATINNY PRECISON MACHINED RAIL

The ELITE22 Receiver comes standard with a picatinny rail integrally machined into the receiver.  For maximum strength and alignment, it is machined into the receiver as one piece.  The integral Picatinny mount is standard rather than the less versatile weaver style rail. The rail is mil-spec to fit popular scopes and accessory optics.
  4. HARD ANODIZED AND PROFESSIONALLY LASER ENGRAVED

The receiver is available in either matte black finish or your choice of bright colors.  All are professionally anodized for durability and appearance. Anodizing is not a paint or a spray on finish, its a molecular change in the surface of the aluminum that forms crystals (like diamonds) on the outside of the material. Its the same finish that space and defense contractors and the military require on their parts.

To compliment the finish, each receiver is professionally laser engraved in compliance with BATFE marking requirements, indicating its serial number, model and manufacturer information. Laser engraving costs a few dollars more than traditional rotary engraving, but anything less looks like it. The ELITE22 Receiver delivers in appearance and performance at a value cost.

  5. IF OUR NAME IS ON IT, WE MAKE IT AND SERVICE IT

Many other "manufacturers" put their name on a product that they don't manufacture. Our ELITE22 Receiver is CAD designed and CNC manufactured in our modern CNC machine shop out of USA made aluminum. We are intimately familiar with its function, assembly and operation and are committed to providing shooters with a product that meets or exceeds their expectations.

We operate a fulltime firearms and related accessories CNC manufacturing machine shop with live customer service and have the parts, the staff and the experience in-house to service and troubleshoot our products, resulting in fast turnarounds and hassle free service for you, our valued customer. As always, we appreciate your business!

* Rifles shown are for reference only and are NOT included with the stripped receiver.  The stripped receiver does NOT include any required assembly parts such as the bolt, buffer or charging handle, all of which are available separately.

Very good product. Smooth around the edges, dimension tolerances are right on. Have built one rifle withe the Elite 22, working on another. Shells slide right in and eject right out; what more could you want? Built in full picatinny rail is longer than the factory bolt on and thus allows a greater range of optics placement. Tough and durable anodized finish is way, way better than the painted finish you get from the factory. It is no longer possible to buy a fine 10/22; you have to build one yourself, and the Tactical Innovations Elite 22 receiver is a major component in the process of creating a rifle that has value, class, and character. Get one (or several) today! You will not regret it.

I have been using the Elite 22 for over two years to build my custom rifles. During that time, i have not used a single Ruger receiver. Why bother? When it comes to precision, features, and looks, The Elite 22 beats the Ruger hands down. And for value, it ranks above the Volquartsen Custom, too, with comparable quality at half the price. Now that it is available in matte and satin clear, there is no reason to use anything else. The technical support is terrific, too. On those rare occasions when I have needed them, the folks at Tactical have been there for me with the answers. Keep it up, folks.

Excellent product. Combined with all Kidd parts and barrel, turned out an incredibly accurate rifle. The extra long and strong rail was just what I wanted as well to mount precision iron sights for a great target rifle.

Very nice receiver! Much nice than the new ones that come on the 10/22 these days. I wanted the best I could buy and am convinced I made the right choice, I have a Shilen barrel, Rimfire technologies bolt and trigger parts in a housing from Tactical Innovations. It shoots amazingly well. I have another TI receiver that has mostly factory parts in it that will get upgraded soon. Kudos for high quality parts

picked up this receiver just the other day and it looks great, went to put my gm barrel on and it is a really tight fit took about an hour, but thats without sanding or anything like that because i want a really snug fit. everything else fit just fine, at 1st i was worryed about ejecting shells because the bolt was a little hard to move but shot 60rds through it and no problems, accuracy is still great shot at 100yds and was hitting bottle caps. anodized finish looks good and is very tough, everything about this receiver is an improvement over the factory one, Thanks Tacticalinc!

The barrel to receiver fit is critical for the assembly process.  If the barrel is loose in the receiver, when you tighten the V-block screws it will cause the barrel to droop so that you will never be able to get the scope dialed in.  We plug gauge the receiver barrel hole in each receiver before shipping to ensure that its within the correct tolerance.  The barrel manufacturers (including our barrels) also hold their barrel shanks often on the larger end of the tolerance scale to ensure that its not going to be loose in any receiver that you may put it in.

When you have a precision receiver that is holding the hole tolerance and a barrel that is also trying to compensate and be capable of being used in any receiver with varying hole diameters, then the barrel can be too tight for the receiver hole which is a common occurrence.  The logic is that its far better for it to be a little too tight so it can be fitted to the receiver rather than be too loose.

The fitting of the barrel to the receiver can be accomplished by any one of multiple methods, depending on what resources you have available.  All material should be removed from the barrel shank since its much easier to get to it and to keep round.  If you don't need to take much off, you can use sandpaper on the barrel shank until the shank is a light press fit to the receiver.  If more material is required to be removed, you'll have to use a wide flat file on the barrel shank as you slowly turn the barrel.  Usually you only have to polish off a few .001's so sandpaper is all that's required and you'll wind up with a perfect barrel to receiver light press fit.
