PIKE ARMS® TAKEDOWN STYLE BARREL LOCKING BLOCK - STRIPPED

PIKE ARMS® TAKEDOWN STYLE BARREL LOCKING BLOCK - STRIPPED

In order to complete a Pike Arms® Takedown Style Barrel, you will need this Pike Arms Takedown Style Locking Block in addition to the stripped barrel and the additional barrel hardware noted below.   The Pike Arms® Takedown Barrels are sold without the associated takedown barrel hardware so if you already have the required additional parts, you are not forced to purchase them. However, if you need the barrel hardware or don't want to take it off of a Ruger® factory barrel, the additional barrel hardware parts are available individually per each corresponding part number below or you can purchase all of the required barrel  hardware that is specific to a takedown style barrel in a money saving bundle with part #08651.

Similarly, if you have a Ruger® Takedown barrel and want to swap the plastic housing for this Pike Arms® machined aluminum Barrel Locking Block, then you can simply remove your existing parts and install them into this stripped machined aluminum Barrel Locking Block.

IF YOU HAVE A STRIPPED BARREL AND NEED TO ATTACH IT TO A TAKEDOWN RECEIVER, YOU WILL NEED THE ADDITIONAL BARREL HARDWARE, PART #08651.  THIS STRIPPED TAKEDOWN BARREL LOCKING BLOCK ALONE WILL NOT ATTACH A TAKEDOWN BARREL TO A TAKEDOWN RECEIVER.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1) Attach the barrel locking block (08557) oriented with the open end toward the chamber end of the barrel, with the supplied screws (08619).

2) Insert the barrel lock spring spring (08618) into the open end of the block.

3) Insert the actuator retainer (08617) into the end of the barrel lock (08615), insert this assembly into the locking block (08557) with the chisel point of the lock facing the chamber end of the barrel.

4) Compress the lock, retainer, and spring into the locking block until the actuator (08616) can be inserted through the slot and into the barrel lock.  The actuator should be held in place by the retainer when fully inserted. NOTE: often one side of the hole in the lock is tighter than the other, it may be helpful to check the fit of the actuator in the barrel lock prior to assembly and orient the lock accordingly.

5) To disassemble; pull the retainer back with a pick or small screw driver to release the actuator.  At the same time pull the actuator out of the barrel lock/locking block assembly. The lock, retainer and spring can now be removed to gain access to the screws.
